O Rambo

O RAMBO is a theater production for the street.
The street serves as the stage. The audience sits on a tribune behind a large storefront, which serves as the setting for the play.

The performers are equipped with microports. Only the audience behind the storefront can hear what they say as they mingle into the street life. We tell the little stories in a complicated world - sometimes unnoticed, sometimes bizarre, intimate and funny. While the audience can only see the street, the scenes are defined by the live editing of the sound. Sounds such as the lighting of a cigarette mix with the smacking of a chewing gum by a small boy and the voices of a couple in discussion, causing the view to wander from character to character - from the café, into the passing car, to the window on the other side of the street. Our characters are seekers. They are all looking for something extraordinary, in this moment of their existence in which we are allowed to observe them. The production is accompanied musically by Florentin Scheicher, also known from the popular Viennese band Buntspecht.
